Tri-State Chamber Buy Local Festival

This years "20th" annual Buy Local Festival will be held on Sunday, March 25th.

Below is last years information.  Once we receive this years, it will be posted as we confirm the entertainement and vendors.

ENTERTAINMENT

Auditorium:

  • 11:00AM     Steven Bunce and Dylan Vadakin performing Soft Jazz
  • 12:00PM     Ben Paley and Van Daalhuyzen performing
  • 1:00 PM      Crescendo, Inc. –  Crescendo Vocal Ensemble and soloists will offer a colorful selection of light repertoire, from Folk/Pop Songs to Madrigals and Motets, and some of the most famous Tenor Opera Arias with soloist Ron M'Sadoques and Anne Voglewede, pianist. Crescendo's Artistic Director Christine Gevert will lead this "mini-concert".

Thank you to all of last years participants and support!

Held annually in March at the Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Falls Village CT.

This event allows chamber members as well as non-members to showcase their company to the community. 

Here’s some information regarding the Tri-State Chambers Annual Buy Local Festival:

Details and suggestions:

WHERE: 

Housatonic Valley Regional High School         

Falls Village, CT (Junction of Rtes 7 & 112) - Driving Directions

WHEN:  

Sunday, March 27, 2011 between 10:00am-3:00pm

SET-UP:

Saturday the day before the Trade Fair, between 12–6pm check in upon arrival. A member of the committee will show you your booth location, and directory. You must complete your set-up between these times. Please do not arrive before noon.  Cookies and Beverages served during set up, provided by the Chamber.

SECURITY:

We will have security at the High School for all unattended hours after Saturday set-up and Sunday previous to the show. Any questions regarding this, please contact Susan Dickinson at (860) 435-9828 or email sdickinson@tristatechamber.com.

ELECTRICAL OUTLETS:

Electrical outlets are available, please be sure to bring heavy-duty extension cords, as well as a power strip, if multiple outlets are needed. Please keep in mind the electrical outlets will be 110 volts only!

SUGGESTIONS:

Raffles/coupons/discounts are great enticements and a great way to advertise.

VISUALS:

People love to LOOK, TOUCH, LISTEN – Bring samples, pictures, whatever!!

Have an eye-catching display- be different (Balloons are not allowed). 

REQUIREMENTS:

We ask that you please do not break down your booth until 3:00PM on Sunday.

REFRESHMENTS:

Food and beverages are sold during the show in the Cafeteria.

FOOD VENDORS REMINDER:

If anyone is interested in having a food booth, please make sure you are registered with the Torrington Area Health Department at least 10 working days prior to the show.

You can go online at www.tahd.org and click on the Forms tab at the top,and then click on the link for Temporary Food Service application and reservation form to download and complete the form.   To have a form mailed to you, please email Susan at  sdickinson@tristatechamber.com.
