Adopt-A-Tree
The Tri-State Chamber Foundation’s annual Adopt-a-Tree program is the area’s signature tradition. Trees draped in holiday lights sparkle like ornaments along main roads of our communities, creating an instant holiday mood every year.
A $50 tree sponsorship is the perfect way to commemorate a friend or a loved one – and get area residents and visitors alike in the holiday spirit. The enclosed envelope makes it easy to sponsor and help us usher in a slew of Hometown Holidays seasonal events:
- The fourth annual Tri-State Chamber Musical Showcase featuring the region’s junior and senior high school performers;
- Annual tree lightings held in Canaan, Lakeville, Millerton, Salisbury and Sharon;
- Other special holiday events, including Sweets & Treats; community sing-a-longs; various open houses; area fire companies’ Parade of Lights; Breakfast with Santa; carolers; and extended shopping hours and special coupon promotions with participating area merchants.
A full schedule of events will be featured in the special Hometown Holidays insert in The Lakeville Journal and The Millerton News throughout November. Events will also be posted on our website, www.tristatechamber.com, which will also recognize everyone who adopts a tree.
In addition, for the second time, all tree adoptions will be recognized formally in The Lakeville Journal and The Millerton News.
